About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the business to understand people and organizational strategy needs and design and execute solutions
  • Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent optimization
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and calibration
  • Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning
  • Coach leaders on employee engagement, performance, leadership effectiveness, and communication
  • Guide employee relations matters and conduct investigations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and government contracting requirements, including ITAR
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to inform decision-making and proactive planning
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies and workforce planning
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards on salary planning, promotions, and equity reviews
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and action planning based on survey results
  • Drive communication and change management efforts, including business transformations and M&A integration
  • Lead and execute cross-functional People & Culture initiatives and projects
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones; track progress and manage risks
  • Partner with P&C, Legal, Finance, IT, and business leaders on core people processes
  • Use HR systems such as Workday for data-driven decision-making and process improvement
  • Manage multiple priorities and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Businesses, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3–5+ years as a P&C Business Partner
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR practices
  • Experience in a regulated environment, such as aerospace, defense, or government contracting
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or program-based organizations
  • Experience supporting international populations, including global mobility or expatriate programs
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday
  • Prior experience supporting M&A integration or large-scale transformation initiatives
  • Flexibility to support business needs during peak periods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with office software and productivity tools
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Works well with little or no supervision and exercises independent judgement
  • Strong ability to gain cooperation of others and conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • May require travel to sites/program and special functions
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR, or be approved for an export license; some positions require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements
