About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex, cross-functional enterprise initiatives involving multiple organizations, business functions, technologies, processes, and executive stakeholders
- Shape emerging enterprise priorities into executable initiatives
- Translate strategic and executive objectives into integrated plans, milestones, decision points, ownership structures, and measurable success criteria
- Maintain accountability for the integrated health and progress of assigned initiatives
- Establish and manage initiative governance, operating cadence, schedules, workstreams, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and escalation paths
- Create enterprise-level visibility into progress, tradeoffs, resource constraints, dependencies, risks, and decisions requiring leadership action
- Provide executive decision support through reporting, synthesis, options and tradeoffs, and recommendations
- Establish and track measures of success across strategic, operational, financial, technology, compliance, adoption, and other business outcomes
- Incorporate organizational change, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, adoption, and transition-to-operations considerations
- Partner with functional, technical, and project/program management organizations
- Identify and resolve cross-functional barriers and ensure timely escalation and follow-through
- Develop and apply scalable enterprise execution practices, tools, and operating models
- Lead, mentor, coordinate, or manage a small team of program/project management professionals
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading complex programs, strategic initiatives, operations, technology-enabled transformation, or other cross-functional business efforts
- Experience leading initiatives spanning multiple functions, organizations, or stakeholder groups
- Experience working with senior leaders, business owners, technical teams, and operational organizations
- Ability to translate strategic, operational, regulatory, or executive objectives into structured plans, governance, measurable outcomes, and coordinated execution
- Experience with program governance, integrated planning, executive reporting, risk and issue management, dependency management, decision tracking, and escalation
- Experience leading through influence in matrixed environments
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, and decision-support skills
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including managing, mentoring, coordinating, or directing professionals
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading enterprise transformation, strategic execution, operational improvement, technology modernization, compliance, or other high-visibility cross-functional initiatives
- Experience developing or maturing governance structures, operating models, management processes, or organizational capabilities
- Experience across enterprise functions such as operations, engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, finance, supply chain, compliance, business development, or shared services
- Experience in regulated, government, aerospace and defense, technology, healthcare, or professional services environments
- U.S. person status under ITAR/EAR or eligibility for an export license; some positions require current U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements
- Formal training or certification in project/program management, change management, process improvement, agile delivery, or related disciplines is beneficial but not required
