About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with marketing, business operations, and support staff on must-win West pursuits
  • Lead medium to large proposals and presentations from capture/pre-RFP positioning through interview stage
  • Interface with business line growth teams and operations to support winning work
  • Lead responses to client RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs using standard pursuit processes
  • Produce print, electronic, and oral proposal deliverables
  • Provide market research and competitive intelligence
  • Leverage data systems and tools for proposal strategy and business strategic planning
  • Support capture managers in developing win strategies and preparing for interviews
  • Create annotated outlines and content plans
  • Recommend section structures to technical teams
  • Write and edit tailored resumes, past performance sections, executive summaries, and management approaches
  • Facilitate Pink Team, Red Team, and quality reviews
  • Implement proposal and presentation revisions based on review-team direction
  • Participate in go/no-go, greenlight, capture planning, and positioning analyses
  • Complete internal debriefs and support win/loss debriefs and client feedback gathering
  • Support marketing and pursuits strategy, content development, campaigns, account managers, and business lines as needed
  • Coach entry-level proposal team members
  • Self-check work before submitting it for review or approval

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation strategy development and compliance, writing, and production
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Acrobat
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience demonstrating leadership qualities
  • Excellent writing skills with aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and details concurrently and complete tasks and projects
  • Proven organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule and lead deliverable efforts by others
  • Proven ability to manage documents
  • Detailed knowledge of marketing best practices, procedures, work processes, and tools
  • United States work authorization; sponsorship is not included now or in the future
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry
  • Working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
