About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare site civil engineering plans for commercial, industrial, utility, and infrastructure development projects
Perform site layout, grading design, utility coordination, access and circulation planning, and erosion control design
Prepare permit and construction documents
Coordinate plans with clients, permitting agencies, stormwater designers, and utility providers
Progress projects from entitlement and permitting through Issued-for-Construction plan development and construction support
Serve as a senior technical resource and technical advisor
Provide specialized technical input to studies and designs
Develop study and design procedures
Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables
Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts
Complete discipline components of PS&E packages
Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings
Prepare technical specification sections
Support engineering budget and schedule development
Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians
Collaborate with project managers to deliver high-quality projects on time
Conduct site visits and field investigations
Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Represent AECOM in client meetings and professional conferences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
U.S. Professional Engineering License (PE)
U.S. Citizenship required
Proficiency with Civil 3D AutoCAD modeling preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
Site civil and/or transportation design experience preferred
Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future
