About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver California's critical broadband infrastructure projects
- Conduct natural resources assessments and environmental compliance support for biological and aquatic resources
- Lead field surveys for special-status wildlife and suitable habitat areas
- Document survey results in memoranda
- Perform pre-construction surveys for listed plant and wildlife species and nesting birds
- Train construction contractors on natural resources Worker Environmental Awareness Program
- Monitor construction activities for environmental compliance
- Produce daily monitoring logs and collaborate with the AECOM team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in biology, Ecology, or a related field
- 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in construction monitoring, environmental inspection, habitat assessments, and biological surveys
- Valid U.S. Driver License is required for this position
- Independent travel will be required
- US Citizenship is required
