About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver California's critical broadband infrastructure projects
  • Conduct natural resources assessments and environmental compliance support for biological and aquatic resources
  • Lead field surveys for special-status wildlife and suitable habitat areas
  • Document survey results in memoranda
  • Perform pre-construction surveys for listed plant and wildlife species and nesting birds
  • Train construction contractors on natural resources Worker Environmental Awareness Program
  • Monitor construction activities for environmental compliance
  • Produce daily monitoring logs and collaborate with the AECOM team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, Ecology, or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in construction monitoring, environmental inspection, habitat assessments, and biological surveys
  • Valid U.S. Driver License is required for this position
  • Independent travel will be required
  • US Citizenship is required
