About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently executes and delivers GIS projects varying from basic to moderate to significant scopes and complexity.
Develop databases and various mapping outputs to support reports and other project deliverables.
Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes.
Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components.
Use concepts, practices, and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients.
Prepare and maintain internal and external project documentation, including quality control documentation.
Provide support to AECOM’s Military Munitions Response information dashboard.
Work directly with Level I/II/III/IV GIS Specialists and Project Managers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
U.S. Citizenship required
Successful candidate will have to pass a background check
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field preferred
1+ years of GIS or other relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education preferred
Experience with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal and/or other relevant ArcGIS software and an understanding of the ESRI suite of products preferred
AutoCAD experience preferred
Technical knowledge of geographic concepts, including coordinate systems, data collection methods, spatial data management, analysis, data visualization and cartographic design preferred
