About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver California's most critical surface transportation projects in the Central Coast of California.
  • Focus on impact analysis for biological and aquatic resources.
  • Conduct technical writing including desktop reports and assessments.
  • Manage biological compliance monitoring during active construction projects.
  • Conduct surveys for special-status wildlife and nesting birds.
  • Prepare technical reports to document findings from surveys and monitoring.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with AECOM, client, and construction personnel.
  • Organize project files and track project schedules.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, or a related environmental science field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in biological surveys and monitoring in California.
  • Valid U.S. Driver License is required for this position.
  • Independent travel will be required.
  • US Citizenship is required.
