About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • collaborate with East Region business development and operations teams in support of pursuit efforts
  • prepare formal and informal client solicitations across the full pursuit lifecycle
  • interface with business line growth teams and operations to support the process of winning work
  • lead and support responses to client solicitations while applying standard pursuit processes to ensure efficiency, schedule adherence, and bid compliance
  • coordinate and deliver high-quality print, electronic, and oral proposal submissions
  • contribute to proposal strategy through market research, competitive intelligence, and the use of data systems and tools to inform business and pursuit planning efforts
  • lead small to medium proposals and supports or leads (based upon experience) large proposals and presentations
  • support capture managers in development of the win strategies from capture through interview preparation
  • coordinate proposal content and logistics, including schedules, templates, compliance requirements, content plans, and production
  • develop annotated outlines and provide recommendations to technical teams on section structure, messaging, and positioning
  • may serve as lead writer/editor for key sections including resumes, past performance, executive summaries, and management approaches
  • may provide conceptual input on document design and collaborate with technical, operations, and business development teams to develop compelling marketing materials
  • facilitate or support color reviews (Pink and Red Team) and quality reviews
  • participate in go/no-go and greenlight analyses
  • complete internal debriefs for proposals they lead
  • may support broader marketing and pursuit strategy efforts, including campaign development and client/market-focused content

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience supporting or leading proposal development within a marketing or business development team, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe InDesign
  • Experience responding to RFQs/RFPs and producing compliant, high-quality submittals
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling content
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Understanding of proposal strategy, compliance, and production
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
