About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for electrical engineering design work on assigned projects
  • Provide mentorship for other electrical engineers in the High Voltage/Power team
  • Work with Project Engineer and Project Manager on developing design schedules and budgets for electrical engineering work activities
  • Perform Power system studies and system protection settings coordination on various projects
  • Generate basis of design documentation for protection settings and relay configurations
  • Support projects during construction, start-up, and commissioning
  • Review engineering work performed by peers
  • Attend client meetings
  • Occasional travel to client and/or project sites,
  • Mentor early career engineers and facilitate internal training sessions if requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 6 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering
  • 6 years of relevant protection and controls experience
  • Professional Engineering licensure (preferred)
  • 8+ Years of experience with 2+ years as a project lead (preferred)
  • Knowledge of FERC and NERC requirements (preferred)
  • Experience with IEC61850 (preferred)
  • Power systems analysis software experience (SKM, EasyPower, Etap) (preferred)
  • Relay coordination utilizing ASPEN OneLiner (preferred)
  • Experience developing native relay setting files (preferred)
  • Distribution automation experience (preferred)
  • Experience working in collaborative 3D model environments (preferred)
