About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform engineering analysis and design for overhead transmission lines
  • Prepare construction packages including plan & profile drawings
  • Utilize industry-standard software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER
  • Support project lifecycle activities including scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, and field support
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and guidelines
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Provide engineering support during construction
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards
  • Identify and mitigate site issues
  • Interact with customer’s internal engineers and technical experts
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Understanding of transmission line design principles
  • Experience with CAD or engineering design tools
  • Familiarity with PLS-CADD strongly preferred
  • Currently working towards Professional Engineer (PE) License is a plus
  • Experience with high-voltage transmission projects (69–500 kV)
  • Familiarity with NESC, ASCE 48, ASCE 10, and utility design standards
  • Field experience supporting construction or inspections
  • Familiarity with utility transmission standards
  • Self-motivated
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish
  • Owner’s Engineering experience
  • Experience with retrofit or brown field projects
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
