About the role
- Senior Signal Engineer to join our World Class Rail Team.\n
- Daily duties and responsibilities include: Vital and non-vital processor programming\n
- Developing Control Lines and Route and Aspect Charts\n
- Develop and review design plans and technical specifications\n
- Coordination of project designs with other disciplines including attendance at project meetings\n
- Review shop drawings, record changes and communicate directly with suppliers, contractors and client representatives as required\n
- Prepare construction estimates and engineering budgets
Requirements
- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with 5 years concentrated in systems integration/engineering\n
- Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineering license\n
- The ideal candidate shall have experience in the design and implementation of the following train control systems to include: CBTC, PTC, ATS, ATP, Automatic Train Operation (ATO), Solid State Interlocking (SSI), Cab Signaling, Digital Tack Circuit Systems and conventional block signaling systems\n
- 15 years of experience of the design, construction, testing and commissioning of Train Control Systems and Equipment with an Engineering Firm, Transit Authority or Signaling Equipment Manufacture\n
- Experience with train control systems for one or more of the following: commuter rail, subway, freight, light rail systems and street car systems\n
- Experience managing/lead designer for signal projects from the conceptual design thru to final commissioning\n
