About the role
- Manages and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects
- Experience with CERCLA projects and federal facilities
- Experience managing RI/FS, Remedial Design, Five Year Reviews
- Regular client interaction on technical/cost/schedule topics
- Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management
- Project scheduling experience and expertise
- Analyzes financial statements and completes budget tracking
- Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance
- Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager
- Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies
- Supervises junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project work
- Occasional overnight travel required
Requirements
- BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- 5+ years of experience directly as a project manager
- Experience as a client facing professional with seller-doer ambitions
- Professional License (PE, PG) in New England states
- 8+ years’ experience in environmental remediation (soil, water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project management
- Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related degree
- Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations
- Experience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, Air Force, Navy, EPA)
- Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA processes
- Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery
- Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences
- Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders
- Interest in business development
- Have led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies in support of Federal environmental projects
