About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, functional limitations, and mobility
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient goals
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques including exercises, manual therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Communicate treatment plans, progress, and discharge recommendations to healthcare professionals, patients, and families
  • Educate patients and families on therapy, home exercise programs, and injury prevention
  • Support and encourage patients to improve motivation and therapy compliance
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning
  • Follow regulatory and facility policies, documentation standards, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy (CAPT)
  • Hold a valid State Physical Therapy License
