About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, functional limitations, and mobility
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient goals
- Utilize therapeutic techniques including exercises, manual therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Communicate treatment plans, progress, and discharge recommendations to healthcare professionals, patients, and families
- Educate patients and families on therapy, home exercise programs, and injury prevention
- Support and encourage patients to improve motivation and therapy compliance
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning
- Follow regulatory and facility policies, documentation standards, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy (CAPT)
- Hold a valid State Physical Therapy License
