About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Empower patients to achieve independence in daily life by improving their ability to perform essential tasks through personalized, evidence-based interventions.
- Use creativity, compassion, and clinical expertise to restore function and quality of life.
- Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental barriers to function.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity strength/mobility, cognition, and adaptive skills.
- Provide hands-on therapy interventions to restore independence and promote safety.
- Recommend and train on assistive devices, adaptive techniques, and environmental modifications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support whole-person care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques for long-term success at home and in the community.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and discharge plans accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state license (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- A patient-first mindset with a drive to make meaningful, lasting change
