About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist in accordance with physician orders and individualized plans of care.
- Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and overall functional abilities.
- Implement treatment plans designed to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Document patient treatments, responses, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and home programs.
- Communicate changes in patient condition and progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in Pennsylvania.
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Home health experience preferred, but not required.
