About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and individualized plans of care.
- Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment programs to improve function, safety, and independence.
- Assess patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and recommend adaptive techniques or equipment as needed.
- Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, adaptive strategies, and ongoing therapy goals.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania.
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Home health experience preferred, but not required.
