About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct covert, stationary, and mobile surveillance
- Conduct surveillance throughout the investigator's home state and surrounding states
- Record subject activity using a video recording device
- Conduct alive-and-well checks, locates, basic scene investigations, paint sample analysis, EDR, and RCS deployments/retrievals
- Prepare and complete written reports of observations
- Upload video evidence and surveillance reports
- Provide clear reports of activities to the operations team
- Conduct basic claims investigations
- Travel daily within the assigned area or territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- Private Investigator licenses required; licensing differs between states
- Must meet state-mandated requirements to obtain and maintain Private Investigator licenses in multiple states
- Current NY Private Investigator license preferred
- Previous experience related to surveillance or claims investigations preferred
- Access to a reliable, suitable surveillance vehicle for day-to-day use
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to provide MVR (driving record)
- Willingness to travel throughout the home state and surrounding states for work
- Availability for varying weekly schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Must pass a drug screen
