About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent ADS across all assigned territories
  • Research and develop business within assigned program offices and related accounts
  • Research and identify upstream business-development opportunities from current active accounts
  • Identify program needs and objectives
  • Identify initial purchases, priorities, manufacturers, product categories, and technologies
  • Identify preferred and optimal procurement methods
  • Understand and articulate how contracts are fulfilled
  • Lead all large-scale solicitations
  • Establish long-term sales and service solutions
  • Conduct market and industry analysis
  • Analyze market trends, new requirements, and new program inceptions
  • Keep up to date on world events
  • Gather intelligence
  • Create new solutions in response to market changes
  • Travel throughout the assigned Europe region and meet with customers and top DoD manufacturers
  • Meet customer and supplier satisfaction, territory-goal, team-engagement, and sales-growth performance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–4 years of prior military or government contracting experience
  • 2 years of experience with government programs in sales or development
  • 2 years of experience with government contracts and procedures
  • 2 years of experience with MS Office
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Frequent and extensive travel required
  • Understanding of the Government Acquisition process and contracting
  • Professional and polished demeanor
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities
  • Flexibility and organizational skills
  • Good grammar and writing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
