About the role
- Development, operation and continuous further development of enterprise-wide knowledge graphs
- Design and implementation of ontologies in the domains of tax, law and finance
- Development of knowledge-graph-driven applications and services
- Integration and transformation of existing data silos into semantic data models
- Development and establishment of quality assurance and validation methods as well as modeling guidelines, best practices and documentation for ontologies and knowledge graphs
- Monitoring and optimization of query performance and system stability
- Advancing company-wide information management through knowledge-graph technologies
- Connecting knowledge graphs to AI- and LLM-based systems to support intelligent applications
- Close collaboration within a team of Data Scientists, Data Architects and MLOps engineers
Requirements
- Very good German language skills (C1) in spoken and written form, and good English skills
- Extensive practical experience with Semantic Web technologies (ontologies, RDF, SPARQL, SHACL)
- Several years of experience in developing and operating knowledge graphs or semantic data platforms
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python and/or Java; other languages and ecosystems are also possible
- Experience with Semantic Web libraries and frameworks (e.g. RDFlib, RDF4J, Apache Jena)
- Experience in data engineering (ETL processes, data pipelines, e.g. RML, Kafka)
- Confident handling of databases, data modeling and SQL
- Experience with quality assurance, validation and performance optimization of knowledge graphs (e.g. SHACL, query tuning)
