About the role

  • As part of the team, you develop robust, scalable and modern backend components in Java
  • You implement the technical foundation of our rapid application platform
  • You integrate external services such as email, Exchange, authentication, etc., and contribute to the further development of our service-oriented architecture
  • You take responsibility for testing your components (automated unit and integration tests)
  • You work closely with other development teams (Frontend, Cloud, AI)
  • You contribute across boundaries — we value a broad perspective; we expect more than simply implementing tickets

Requirements

  • You have already gained at least 3 years of experience in Java backend development following your degree or vocational training
  • (Initial) experience with SQL databases (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, or MariaDB) is a strong plus
  • You enjoy working in service-oriented architectures (SOA)
  • You want to shape and create, not just maintain — you proactively contribute and look for solutions where others see problems
  • You speak fluent German (at least C1) — this is important for our team communication
