About the role

  • Develop robust, scalable and modern backend components in Java – together within a Scrum team
  • Actively contribute to and further develop the architecture of our platform
  • Implement the technical runtime of our Rapid Application Platform
  • Take responsibility for testing your own components
  • Work closely with other teams such as Frontend, Infrastructure and Cloud
  • Think cross-functionally: contribute ideas, question solutions and actively shape outcomes
  • Team development: use your experience to support and mentor less experienced team members

Requirements

  • Several years of backend development experience with Java (senior level)
  • Strong understanding of service-oriented architectures (SOA)
  • Clean, test-driven working style (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) and a high quality awareness
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Enjoy working with databases (e.g., MS SQL, MariaDB)
  • Solution-oriented, proactive and eager to shape solutions rather than just maintain them
  • Good German skills (minimum B2) for smooth team communication
  • Willingness to work 2–3 days per week in the office in Geisenhausen – for exchange, team cohesion and real dialogue
