About the role
- Support leaders with daily tasks and requests
- Ensure compliance with municipal and state tax obligations in accordance with applicable legislation
- Liaise with tax authorities for inquiries, resolution of outstanding issues, and problem solving
- Interpret legislation and provide guidance to the team
- Provide technical support to internal departments
- Support audits and inspections by supplying required documents and information
- Propose process improvements in coordination with the IT area
- Stay up to date on legal and regulatory changes
- Train new team members
- Organize digital files and perform related duties as needed
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of municipal, state and federal legislation
- Familiarity with tax department routines and processes
- Basic accounting knowledge
- System experience with MasterSaf, GB, Opera, OnBase and Senior
- Microsoft Office: Intermediate level
- Basic English
- Minimum education: Completed technical course (technical diploma)
