About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independent development and enhancement of software components in the areas of Data Engineering, Analytics, and Cloud
- Design, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines, interfaces, and data-driven applications
- Contribution to architecture decisions, data models, and technical solution concepts
- Implementation of cloud-based data and software solutions on platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, or OCI
- Analysis of complex technical requirements and translation into robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions
- Working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Quality assurance, testing, code reviews, and technical documentation
- Close collaboration with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders
- Technical mentoring and support for less experienced colleagues in the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience in several relevant technical areas and the ability to quickly get up to speed in new technical environments
- Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, or OCI
- Several years of experience in software development and/or data engineering
- Strong knowledge of Java / Java Enterprise, Spring, REST, XML, or web services
- Good to very good SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience with data pipelines, interfaces, data integration, or analytical applications
- Experience with Python, Unix/Linux shell, or similar tools is a plus
- Understanding of software architecture, e.g. multi-tier architectures, microservices, or design patterns
- Confident use of Git, Maven, Jira, or similar tools
- Experience with big data technologies, modern data platforms, or cloud-native architectures is an advantage
- Structured, analytical, and self-driven working style
- Ability to understand technical requirements, develop solution proposals, and implement them
- Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban
- Experience in client projects or IT consulting is a plus
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a comparable practical qualification
- Very good German language skills and good English language skills
