About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build framework-agnostic UI components for product teams using multiple frontend technologies
  • Drive adoption of the design system across product engineering and support migration efforts
  • Own end-to-end technical delivery, including scoping, architecture decisions, and production delivery
  • Improve developer experience through build tooling, testing infrastructure, documentation, and automation
  • Make decisions about component composition, API design, and maintainability for a system used by 250+ engineers
  • Champion performance, accessibility, and web standards
  • Provide cross-team technical leadership through code review, consulting, and mentorship

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Deep TypeScript expertise
  • Significant experience with modern UI frameworks, including component architecture, reactivity, and state management
  • Deep understanding of Web Components, browser APIs, the DOM, and framework abstractions
  • Experience with build systems and bundlers such as Webpack, Vite, or Rollup
  • Experience building or maintaining a design system, component library, or shared UI infrastructure used by engineering teams
  • Track record of influencing technical decisions across teams and managing stakeholders with competing needs
  • Pragmatic approach to technical debt and architectural tradeoffs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship
  • Must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on the first day of employment
