Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the technical direction and architect scalable, resilient Java/Spring Boot or Quarkus microservices
Design trade order lifecycle logic for reliable broker connectivity and accurate allocations
Architect event-driven systems and scalable AWS data solutions using Kafka
Scale inbound and outbound connectivity across FIX, REST, and file-based interfaces
Shape engineering culture by mentoring teams and elevating Agile SDLC standards
Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps
Champion Agile methodologies and adoption of AI-assisted development tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of experience architecting and building complex backend distributed systems at scale
Expert knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, JVM tuning, and concurrency
Advanced expertise in AWS cloud-native architectures and Kafka or similar messaging platforms
Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, and data architectures
Experience championing developer productivity, automation, and AI-assisted development tools
Technical leadership and ownership of cross-team initiatives
Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Trading or Financial Services experience preferred
Practical knowledge of the FIX protocol preferred
Familiarity with React preferred
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship
Must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on the first day of employment
Must work Eastern working hours
