About the role

  • Leading and managing members of the Level Design team to meet project objectives
  • Setting clear goals and performance expectations
  • Collaborating with design leadership and artists to craft unique gameplay environments
  • Designing, prototyping, implementing, and polishing in-game spaces and content
  • Providing constructive feedback on others’ work
  • Acting as a liaison to other departments
  • Providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance management

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a professional Level Designer
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules and deliver against production timelines
  • Experience with technical game design (implementation in tools, game logic, visual scripting, etc.)
  • Understanding and Execution of the fundamentals of Level Design in modern game engines
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback
  • Experience pitching level design concepts
  • Bonus points for experience leading content design teams on AAA titles
  • Industry recognition in your field
  • Experience in adjacent fields such as content design, narrative design, environment art, programming
  • Architectural experience
  • Experience playing and/or crafting pen and paper, board, or trading card games
