About the role

  • The role is responsible for ensuring that our people and property are protected across the Activision Blizzard portfolio (Activision Blizzard Corporate, Activision Publishing, Blizzard Entertainment, and King)
  • Owning the strategy, development, and deployment of a comprehensive global physical security and safety program
  • Directly overseeing the Director of Global Physical Security & Safety Ops, Global Physical Security Program Leader, and the Health and Safety Program
  • Leading a team of eight personnel and overseeing approximately 100 vendor staff
  • Providing strategic leadership for the global physical security and safety program
  • Direct oversight of the global health & safety program
  • Vendor management oversight of service providers such as physical security technology integrators, guard force, executive protection, threat management, etc
  • Budget management
  • Leading and overseeing large scale security/safety emergency response
  • Oversight of various global programs, policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Must have at least 15 years’ experience in physical security, corporate security, law enforcement, military, or any combination thereof, with at least 7 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have multi-national corporate security experience
  • BA or BS highly desired, MA or MS degree preferred. Degrees in fields such as criminal justice, homeland security, emergency management, business administration, or organizational leadership preferred
  • Membership in professional networking groups such as ASIS, InfraGard, or other security groups preferred
  • Possession of ICS-100 and NIMS-700 certifications along with knowledge in emergency response and resilience preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Health and Safety compliance required
  • Must have experience with vendor management, budget management, and RFPs
  • Must have knowledge of video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection technology
  • Must have experience with security operations centers, intelligence, threat management, and investigations
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices in physical security and safety strategies, principles, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Must have effective time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, organizational skills, project management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual and stressful circumstances
  • Strong customer service and service delivery
  • Position requires demonstrated integrity, honesty, poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to plan, coordinate and manage staff and operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
