About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locations
- Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specifications
- Reading and engaging with blueprints and other Scope of Work plans
- Create and submit estimates to project managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Previous experience as an Commercial Asphalt Estimator
- Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Skilled in relevant software (BlueBook, etc)
- Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills
