About the role

  • Independently perform structural calculations for piping and equipment supports (SIA, Eurocode)
  • Develop constructive details
  • Model load-bearing structures in 3D
  • Piping structural analysis and planning (EN, ASME)
  • Design and assessment of special pipe supports using FEM
  • Improve processes and procedures
  • Serve as technical contact and mentor for junior colleagues, including quality assurance
  • Technical coordination within projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of tender documents, project cost estimates and acceptance procedures
  • Act as deputy to the department head

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., Bachelor or Master) or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 7 years' professional experience in steel structure planning/design projects
  • Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or biotech industries is an advantage
  • Understanding of force flows and structural behavior
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software is an advantage, ideally Dlubal RFEM and Rohr2
  • CAD skills and BIM experience are advantageous, e.g. Tekla Structures, Tricad MS, E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit
  • Fluent German and English, spoken and written
