About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Report, manage and resolve Middle-Market to Large Commercial client workers’ compensation claims
Gather facts of the claim, review coverage and analyze estimates to resolve coverage disputes favorably for clients
Prepare stewardship reports for the client, Client Advisor & Account Executive
Provide recommendations or guidance to the Client Advisor or Account Manager on claims
Document all activity in Epic
Maintain ongoing contact with the insurance adjuster, client contact(s), defense attorney and others involved in the claim
Assist the Account Executive and Client Advisor to resolve coverage questions
Operate in a courteous and professional manner with all others
Conduct regular and timely follow-up contact with adjusters, client contacts and others defending the claim

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years of experience in Insurance, P&C
3 years in brokerage preferred, not required
3 years or more of claims management experience
Active P&C license, or ability to successfully complete training and pass licensing test within 12 months of hire
High-school diploma, or equivalent (College degree, a plus)
Superior organizational and time management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
3 years or more Customer-oriented service experience
Exercise good judgment/decision making ability
Possess good problem-solving skills
Work independently, as well as part of a team
Prioritization skills & ability to work on multiple tasks, as needed
Ability to actively listen to respond to questions, concerns or implement a solution
Attention to detail
Dependable
Intermediate or above computer skills (utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Agency Management software)
Intermediate skills or above navigating the internet
