About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a portfolio of captive insurance companies as primary client contact
Oversee monthly and annual close, financial statements, and regulatory filings
Ensure compliance with domicile requirements and statutory reporting
Coordinate audits, actuarial reviews, tax, and investment reporting
Monitor cash management, capital, collateral, and trust accounts
Partner with clients, regulators, brokers, actuaries, and auditors
Mentor and review work of account managers and accounting staff
Maintain audit‑ready documentation and improve processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting (SAP)
Experience working directly with captive regulators and audits
Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or similar platforms
Strong client service and communication skills
2+ years captive insurance or insurance accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
CPA preferred
