About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute all Employee Benefits operations in assigned region to ensure the best client experience possible
  • Maintain key client account management, as assigned
  • Responsible for managing the service team, and team leads in assigned region
  • Develop and implement standard operating practices to create efficiencies through use of technology and processes
  • Communicate consistently with Employee Benefits Operations Manager and Director of Employee Benefits Operations, and Growth Leader as necessary
  • Execute operational initiatives that support organic growth and retention goals through collaboration with members of the leadership team
  • Lead and implement key carrier strategic initiatives to achieve placement and revenue goals working with the EB Operations Manager
  • Quarterly review of the AM/AC book of businesses to ensure proper staffing to align with excellent customer service experience
  • Liaison between producers and account management teams
  • Facilitate regular department meetings to review workflows, procedures and influence and promote a positive culture and work environment
  • Collaboration with human resources around personnel management and employee relations
  • Responsible for executing business processes to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5+ years of complex employee benefits experience within an insurance related industry with an emphasis on Complex Group Clients
  • Minimum 2 years of successfully managing a team
  • Current Life & Health Insurance license
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, along with a demonstrated attention to detail
  • Superior skills in operational leadership, employee development, and employee engagement
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial data and reporting
  • Knowledge and experience with Benefit platforms – including Employee Navigator or related systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
