About the role
- Lead end-to-end budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes for the Global Specialty business unit
- Develop driver-based financial models tailored specifically for insurance product dynamics and P&L structures
- Analyze revenue, loss ratios, claims patterns, underwriting performance, and other insurance-related KPIs
- Prepare executive-level reporting packages comparing actuals to forecast, budget, and prior periods
- Provide regular visibility into operational and financial risks and opportunities across the portfolio
- Serve as the primary finance partner to Global Specialty leadership
- Use financial modeling and analysis to support growth and strategic initiatives
- Support the implementation of enterprise FP&A tools and process enhancements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Global Specialty Leadership, Data & Analytics, and Corporate Accounting
- Build strong relationships with leadership and insurance segment agency partners to support financial performance and operational execution
- Represent FP&A in strategic discussions
- Mentor and lead a team of analysts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related quantitative field
- 10+ years of FP&A or finance experience, with at least 5 years in leadership and people management roles
- Insurance industry experience required (e.g., brokerage, carrier); strong understanding of insurance financials, loss ratios, claims, underwriting, and product economics
- Exceptional financial modeling capabilities, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience building complex analytical models
- Experience with FP&A planning tools (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Oracle EPM)
- Strong analytics background, including experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Strong partnership with data and technology teams; familiarity with data governance, data warehouses, and semantic layers
- Proven record of developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver insights clearly and concisely to executive leadership
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and analytical excellence
