About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate current client and family functioning
  • Explain the mental health services of ACE Wellness’ and engage family, youth, and other pertinent agencies
  • Obtain current insurance information to verify service coverage and benefits
  • Maintain current knowledge of DSM-V diagnoses and recommends treatment options and level of care
  • Complete mental health diagnostic evaluations and formulates a diagnosis according to the DSM-V criteria
  • Summarize the major treatment issues and expected outcomes
  • Complete all reports within the necessary time frame
  • Attend all required staff training and staff meetings
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum educational level for diagnostic assessor is a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and Ohio LSW or LPC
  • LISW or LPCC is preferred
  • Minimum education level for psychological assessor or licensed psychologist is a Master’s degree
  • Must have Ohio LPC
  • Be enrolled in psychology doctoral program
  • Be license eligible through the Ohio State Board of Psychology
  • Have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and safe driving record
  • English reading and writing skills required
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality required
  • Works flexible hours
  • Requires typing and computer competency, including Windows applications for typing case notes and other paperwork
