Diagnostic Assessor
ACE WELLNESS CENTERMental Health Diagnostic Assessor conducting evaluations at ACE Wellness Center, engaging with families and maintaining records. Requires assessment skills and familiarity with mental health services.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate current client and family functioning
- Explain the mental health services of ACE Wellness’ and engage family, youth, and other pertinent agencies
- Obtain current insurance information to verify service coverage and benefits
- Maintain current knowledge of DSM-V diagnoses and recommends treatment options and level of care
- Complete mental health diagnostic evaluations and formulates a diagnosis according to the DSM-V criteria
- Summarize the major treatment issues and expected outcomes
- Complete all reports within the necessary time frame
- Attend all required staff training and staff meetings
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum educational level for diagnostic assessor is a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and Ohio LSW or LPC
- LISW or LPCC is preferred
- Minimum education level for psychological assessor or licensed psychologist is a Master’s degree
- Must have Ohio LPC
- Be enrolled in psychology doctoral program
- Be license eligible through the Ohio State Board of Psychology
- Have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and safe driving record
- English reading and writing skills required
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality required
- Works flexible hours
- Requires typing and computer competency, including Windows applications for typing case notes and other paperwork
