About the role

  • POSITION SUMMARY: The Database Developer will assist with development across the entire Microsoft SQL stack (SQL Server, SSIS, ADF). In this role you will be interfacing with our web developers, data analysts, and business users. This position requires a self-starter that is used to working in challenging yet exciting environments with little supervision.
  • PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in scaling and optimizing the backend of web applications, ETL processes, and reporting engine
  • Support various business intelligence initiatives
  • Collaborate with creative teams
  • Break down issues through analysis and research, and arrive at a proposed solution
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Engineering, Mathematics preferred
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Experience designing and developing database objects, tables, stored procedures, views, triggers and SSIS packages
  • Experience authoring Azure Data Factory pipelines
  • Experience with Azure Functions
  • Tableau experience is preferred
  • Experience in Healthcare is preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough understanding of database performance analysis and optimization
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (logical analysis using built in functions, VLOOKUP, nested functions, If-Then-Else, etc.)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including a proactive disposition towards identifying problems and providing solutions
  • Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment
  • Independent, focused individual able to work remotely or on-site
