About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and track legislative and regulatory developments across 50+ jurisdictions globally, including federal, state, and international markets
- Identify and prioritize developments based on business relevance, risk, and strategic importance
- Produce timely, concise memos summarizing new laws, regulatory changes, and emerging policy issues
- Provide regular, real-time updates to the Director of Government Relations on key developments and trends
- Serve as an early-warning system by proactively flagging issues before they escalate
- Maintain and continuously improve legislative tracking systems and internal reporting processes (including Westlaw and internal tools)
- Conduct targeted research on priority jurisdictions or policy topics as needed
- Translate legislative and regulatory developments into clear, business-relevant insights for internal stakeholders
- Support communication with business units on regulatory changes and implications
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding policy developments and provide informed, timely guidance
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in policy-related information shared across teams
- Draft policy briefs, one-pagers, and executive summaries to support decision-making and advocacy efforts
- Develop position statements, testimony materials, and background documents for government relations activities
- Assist in preparing presentations, briefing materials, and structured communications for internal and external audiences
- Contribute to messaging development on key policy issues as needed
- Provide writing and research support during high-priority or time-sensitive situations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, international relations, communications, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in legislative analysis, government relations, regulatory affairs, or public policy
- Demonstrated experience tracking and analyzing legislation and regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong writing skills, particularly in drafting concise policy memos, summaries, and analytical briefs
- Proven ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high volumes of information across multiple geographies
- Experience supporting senior leaders or decision-makers with policy insights
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and respond quickly to emerging issues
- Familiarity with legislative tracking platforms and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw)
