About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management across a national portfolio.
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Assess financial implications of business strategies, investment decisions, and project opportunities.
- Drive financial discipline and accountability throughout the organisation.
- Partner with Project Directors and Operations teams to monitor project performance and profitability.
- Lead project financial reviews, cost control initiatives, and margin improvement strategies.
- Deliver commercial insights and recommendations that improve project outcomes.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and project financing requirements.
- Lead financial input into bids, tenders, and business development opportunities.
- Develop financial models, pricing strategies, and commercial evaluations.
- Assess financial and commercial risks associated with proposed projects and contracts.
- Ensure financial reporting complies with Australian Accounting Standards and ACCIONA's global requirements.
- Maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
- Coordinate audit activities and support internal and external assurance requirements.
- Lead and mentor finance professionals across multiple locations nationally.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline.
- CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant finance leadership experience within infrastructure, construction, engineering, utilities, or related sectors.
- Experience supporting major projects, operations, and tender processes.
- Strong understanding of project accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving business outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams across multiple locations.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
