About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop first principles estimates for overhead transmission lines and/or substation and from 66 kV to 500 kV
Interpret drawings, methods and market pricing to build competitive tender submissions
Work with the National Transmission Estimating Manager and collaborate with construction, engineering and procurement teams
Support tender governance, reviews and BAFO responses
Build first principles cost models
Deliver accurate quantity take off
Coordinate RFQs and assess pricing
Maintain cost databases
Define construction methods and rates
Support tender pricing reviews

Requirements

HV line and substation construction knowledge
First principles estimating skill
Advanced Excel and estimating systems
Engineering degree or trade
8+ years infrastructure experience
