About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the full design lifecycle of complex systems, from concept through integration and Validation including resolving design conflicts and ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and regulatory standards
- Apply RAM principles to enhance system maintainability, availability, and reliability
- Lead Value Engineering and Whole of Life assessments to improve cost-effectiveness and Sustainability ensuring engineering systems processes are integrated seamlessly
- Resolve major design control challenges and lead problem-solving efforts for complex technical challenges, balancing project constraints such as cost, time, and quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Status (including RPEV, RPEQ, NER & CPEng), or the ability to achieve
- 7+ years’ senior experience in transmission line design (220kV+)
- Advanced PLS-CADD skills (preferably to 500kV); working knowledge of PLS-Tower
- Strong understanding of HV transmission, substations, and applicable standards
- Skilled in preparing clear, accurate reports, drawings, schedules, and specifications
- Tier 1/Tier 2 contractor or TNSP experience highly regarded
