About the role
- Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.
- Ensures non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated as soon as practically possible.
- Completes all outstanding defects as required by the program.
- Prepares Inspection Test Reports and checklists that accurately reflect contract requirements.
- Provide support on planning the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved.
- Assist the Project Engineer with development of construction planning documents and monitor implementation.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress and coordinating activities.
- Assist with preparing project status reports and change orders.
- Assesses progress daily and prepares plan of works for daily cost planning meeting (if held).
- Responsible and accountable to ensure that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied at work crew level.
- Coordinate resource allocation with the expectation that you would encourage effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
- Tracks subcontractor resources daily and record accurately.
- Prepares cost plan/resources for daily cost planning meeting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering) Electrical
- Relevant Tertiary Education
- Tier 1 Contractor experience is preferred, on large scale projects
- Preferable 0 to 3 years post graduate experience in a construction/engineering environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
- Establish and steward overall delivery work plans.
- Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied.
- Competent in planning and organising work schedules.
- Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same.
- Clear communication – verbal and written.
