About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Project Manager by organizing team meetings, walkdowns, action-item tracking, agendas, and minutes
- Assist with RFP creation for engineering and construction bidding
- Maintain project Phase Checklists
- Build project schedules and follow up on permit status
- Request Project IDs and Workorders and obtain financial updates from vendors
- Update financial forecasts in client systems
- Prepare project status reports and Key Performance Indicators
- Review vendor invoices, generate invoice checklists, and submit them for review and approval
- Facilitate client project closeout
- Review material requests, contracts, and QA/QC reports and consult the Project Manager on corrections
- Work directly with contractors and client personnel to resolve issues
- Manage smaller project issues under the Project Manager's purview
- Perform additional tasks as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business with 2–4 years of experience in the electric utilities or a related field, or an associate's degree in engineering or business with 5–8 years of experience in the electric or gas utility field or a related field
- Proficiency in Maximo
- Familiarity with electric utilities infrastructure project concepts, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Strong written and oral communication skills with proven analytical experience
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Superior time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Critical and analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
