About the role

  • Lead environmental compliance during construction and ensure smooth transition to operations
  • Oversee consultants, inspections, reports, and coordination across the project lifecycle
  • Apply and monitor compliance with key environmental regulations, including Clean Water Act sections 401, 402, and 404
  • Identify, address, and mitigate environmental risks such as stormwater, wetlands, species, cultural resources, and air quality
  • Coordinate with permit managers, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to meet compliance obligations
  • Develop risk mitigation and compliance plans aligned with project schedules and deliverables
  • Conduct regular site visits and report project status to support program development
  • Support program development and report project status

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil or Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Data Centers, large-scale, or mission-critical construction projects
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental permitting, compliance, and approvals—including managing impact assessments, acquiring permits, and executing ecological/cultural surveys
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience—including coordinating permit timelines, managing consultants, and delivering cross-disciplinary results
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental programs and regulations (air quality, endangered species, Clean Water Act 401/404, stormwater general permits, SPCC, RCRA)
  • Familiarity with remedial investigations, site conceptual models, and site management plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory agencies
