About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a team of 3–5 engineers spanning data platform, analytics engineering, API development, and system integrations
- Own the Platform Engineering roadmap
- Architect and deliver APIs and integrations that connect ABCorp’s core products to external platforms
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and observability of ABCorp’s data platform
- Own the operational and customer data domain
- Serve as the technical escalation point for your team
- Drive engineering best practices across the Platform Engineering team
- Partner with Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of professional software or data engineering experience, with 2+ years in a formal engineering lead or management role overseeing a technical team
- Hands-on technical depth in at least two of the following: data platform engineering (pipelines, warehouse, dbt, Spark), API development (REST, GraphQL, event streaming), system integrations (ETL/ELT, ERP/CRM connectors, webhooks), or analytics engineering
- Demonstrated experience owning a technical domain end-to-end
- Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure relevant to platform engineering
- Experience with legacy operational systems
- Strong communicator and cross-functional partner
- Experience growing and developing individual contributors
