About the role
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with building equipment and systems to minimize downtime and ensure occupant comfort and safety.
- Be available for emergency repairs and act as first responder to facility issues outside of regular hours, as required.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, using our facility management software for reporting and tracking purposes.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and building codes.
- Coordinate and sometimes lead small to medium-sized renovation or upgrade projects within managed properties.
- Communicate effectively with property managers, tenants, and clients to address concerns and plan maintenance schedules.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or trade school education in HVAC or a related field preferred
- Experience: 5 years in building maintenance or engineering, with at least 2 years in a mobile or multi-site role preferred, residential and commercial HVAC techs with at least 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply
- Experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. EPA Section 608 Technician Certification required
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in using facility management software.
