About the role
- Work closely with functional leaders to balance competing priorities and ensure that strategic goals are met within timelines and budget constraints
- Lead multiple product teams, ensuring they are aligned with the company's strategic goals and agile practices
- Mentor, challenge and develop product managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the teams
- Set clear expectations and performance goals for product teams, conducting regular reviews and providing constructive feedback
- Develop a n agile prioritization and product management framework that is pragmatic and fit for purpose, not rooted in theory
- Ensure product teams' goals and activities are closely aligned with the company's strategic objectives
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between product teams and other departments to ensure seamless product development and delivery
- Champion the adoption and continuous improvement of agile methodologies, ensuring teams are following fit for purpose approaches in Scrum and other agile frameworks
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and agile teams to ensure that product backlogs are prioritized, transparent, and aligned with business goals
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and product demos to ensure alignment across teams and continuous delivery of high-value increments
- Manage capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure that teams have the necessary resources to meet project demands without overextending
Requirements
- Startup experience alongside deep technical knowledge
- A demonstrated ability to manage people and key stakeholders
- Self starter with a pragmatic approach to achieving / delivering results
- 10+ years of experience in product management within the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Extensive experience in agile and scrum methodologies, with a proven ability to drive agile transformations and lead scrum teams
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
