About the role

  • Support the company's financial reporting and reserve analysis processes; perform reserve calculations and support preparation of statutory and GAAP financial statements.
  • Assist with month-end valuation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with actuarial standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance valuation models to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Analyze emerging experience data to assess assumptions and trends impacting reserves and profitability.
  • Partner with finance and other business units to provide actuarial insight into financial results.
  • Support audit requests and regulatory examinations related to reserves and financial reporting.
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and processes in compliance with Actuarial Standards of Practice.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing within the Valuation Team and work closely with actuarial leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in valuation, financial reporting, or reserving.
  • Completion of at least 3 actuarial exams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, VBA) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work under deadlines.
