About the role

  • Design, build and maintain scalable Java / Spring Boot microservices that form the backbone of Collibra’s internal AI platform.
  • Contribute to and own React / TypeScript UI features that improve developer experience and usability of AI tooling.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define clear API contracts and platform capabilities.
  • Support the evolution of frontend architecture, patterns and code quality standards within a backend-centric team.
  • Optimize performance and reliability across the stack, especially in data-intensive and AI-driven workflows.
  • Participate in platform design discussions and contribute to technical direction.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments.
  • Solid experience building modern web interfaces using React and TypeScript.
  • Ability and motivation to work across the full stack, with a backend-first mindset.
  • Experience designing scalable services and working with distributed systems concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes or similar container platforms.
  • Passion for writing clean, maintainable and testable code.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Valid work authorization for the Czech Republic.
