About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build the operations area for operation, maintenance, fault handling and damage management from the ground up
  • Develop processes, responsibilities and documentation workflows
  • Provide operational support for light poles, cabinets and towers after completion and handover
  • Record, schedule, commission and track maintenance, stability checks, electrical inspections, visual inspections and groundskeeping cycles
  • Work independently on site nationwide for approximately 50% of working time
  • Perform minor repairs on IoT controllers, batteries, fans and lock cylinders and organize spare parts
  • Prioritize faults and major damages, assess them on site and manage measures until restoration
  • Select, commission and manage maintenance companies, structural engineers for inspections and landscaping contractors
  • Accept services and track defects and warranty cases until resolution
  • Review quotes and maintain inspection reports, maintenance records and site data in an audit-proof manner
  • Coordinate network operators, municipalities, authorities, installers and other stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Further training as a technician or master craftsman, or completed technical apprenticeship with several years of professional experience
  • Experience planning and managing deployments, construction sites, service areas or subcontractors
  • Technical understanding, structured organization and practical working style
  • Ability to set up and document processes in a structured way
  • Familiarity with equipment cabinets, power supply, batteries, ventilation and cabling
  • Experience with remote monitoring and alarm messages, or ability to learn quickly
  • Clear communication of technical issues and confident coordination with municipalities, authorities, network operators and service providers
  • Driving license category B
  • Approximately 50% nationwide travel
  • Business fluent German
  • Good English skills are an advantage
  • Experience with radio sites, street lighting, overhead line or mast construction, wind energy, technical facility management or comparable infrastructure is an advantage
  • Knowledge of structural stability, mast statics, EN 40, DGUV Regulation 3, contractor management or technical project management welcome but not required
  • Electrical engineering background is strongly preferred, but not mandatory
  • For candidates with civil/mechanical/metalworking profiles: willingness to qualify as an electrically qualified person for specified tasks
