About the role
- Develop a data transformation and workflow solution for an impactful part of the U.S. Army.
- Deploy and operate a replacement for a legacy financial system to the cloud.
- Innovate new cloud-first solutions for the U.S. Army’s data management ecosystem.
- Responsible for the data pipeline cloud components, security, governance, and overall successful delivery of working software.
- Work with multiple teams on problems that require architectural thinking and programming skills to design the system.
Requirements
- 2+ years of related experience
- Well-versed in Python
- Experience with the following:
- Building and managing data pipelines
- Consuming data via APIs
- GitLab
- Working via the terminal / command line
- Jira and Confluence
- AWS cloud services
- AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, Cloudwatch Logs
- Pytest and testing best practices
- Variety of file formats (x12, json, flat, fixed width)
- Maintaining data pipelines with tables containing over a billion rows / records
- Working with DoD systems and data
- Ability to discern file and json format requirements from vague contexts
- Currently possesses or able to obtain in 30 days the following certifications:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (or higher)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or higher)
