About the role

  • Develop a data transformation and workflow solution for an impactful part of the U.S. Army.
  • Deploy and operate a replacement for a legacy financial system to the cloud.
  • Innovate new cloud-first solutions for the U.S. Army’s data management ecosystem.
  • Responsible for the data pipeline cloud components, security, governance, and overall successful delivery of working software.
  • Work with multiple teams on problems that require architectural thinking and programming skills to design the system.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Well-versed in Python
  • Experience with the following:
  • Building and managing data pipelines
  • Consuming data via APIs
  • GitLab
  • Working via the terminal / command line
  • Jira and Confluence
  • AWS cloud services
  • AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, Cloudwatch Logs
  • Pytest and testing best practices
  • Variety of file formats (x12, json, flat, fixed width)
  • Maintaining data pipelines with tables containing over a billion rows / records
  • Working with DoD systems and data
  • Ability to discern file and json format requirements from vague contexts
  • Currently possesses or able to obtain in 30 days the following certifications:
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (or higher)
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or higher)
