About the role
- Work independently with teams on projects/platforms to set up platforms and environments using Terraform and Azure services
- Design and implement Azure networking: Private DNS Zones & Private DNS Resolver, VNets/Subnets, NSG/ASG, Route Tables, Azure VPN
- Configure Azure security and traffic components: Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Conditional Access, Entra, Key Vaults
- Deploy and operate platform services: API Management, Container Apps, Functions, Web Apps, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Event Grids, Storage Accounts, VMs, Azure SQL
- Implement monitoring, logging, and policies: Azure Monitor (Log Analytics & AppInsights), Azure Policies
- Support data platform technologies and integrations where needed (Databricks, ADF, Fabric & PowerBI)
- Participate in CI/CD and DevOps practices; collaborate with development teams and globally-based stakeholders
- Mentor engineers, provide thought leadership, and articulate architecture decisions to clients and teams
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience/expertise working as a Cloud Azure Engineer with robust understanding of Azure
- High level of English proficiency required to interact with a globally-based development team
- Communicate in a clear and understandable manner with clients and articulate designed architecture
- Natural leader with critical reasoning and good decision making skills
- Extremely good knowledge on Azure N/W, Terraform, Firewall
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools
- Ability to work on multiple parallel projects and utilize time management and multitasking skills
- Demonstrate mentorship and thought leadership to engineers and decision-makers
- Demonstrated innovative thinking within teams for problem-solving
- Familiarity (lower priority) with Azure DevOps
- Familiarity/support experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Fabric & PowerBI (data team technologies)
